During your dental bonding consultation we will help you understand the options available around giving you a bigger, brighter smile & the steps involved in maintaining any dental bonding treatment.

Dental bonding is a relatively inexpensive way to achieve a better smile, and is commonly used to address chipped, fractured, discoloured, and decayed teeth. Using a composite resin, we’ll tackle the tooth or teeth of concern to restore a natural, uniform smile you’re proud to show off.

How does dental bonding work?

We’ll start your appointment with a shade guide that allows us to pick a resin closest to your natural tooth colour.

From there, we will roughen the surface of your target tooth to make it easier to attach the composite resin. Once your tooth is fully prepared, we’ll attach the resin and shape it until it looks natural, before polishing and refining the tooth until we are all happy with the results.

Is teeth bonding right for you?

If you’re seeking a better smile because you’re concerned about one or more of your teeth, you may find that teeth bonding is the ideal solution. But before we can go ahead, we’ll make sure the tooth we’re treating isn’t currently decaying. If it is, we’ll need to carry out other treatments first to bring it to a full state of health.

Depending on the number of teeth we need to treat, the teeth bonding process may take place over one or more appointments. You’ll need to avoid certain foods and drink for 48 hours after your treatment, to minimise the risk of stains.
